About us

Razorsharp Knives are based in Tauranga and are proud to be 100% New Zealand owned and operated. We are also the only BESS certified knife sharpeners in the country.

With decades of experience sharpening knives from manufacturers around the globe, we know a thing or two about knife steel and quality products when we see them.

With a passion for Japanese knives, we sell products that we have personally tested and love to use ourselves. All our Japanese knives are meticulously inspected prior to dispatch using a laser goniometer to check the edge angle and a Bess tester to ensure that razor sharp edge.

All knives are 50/50 grind (the same angle on both sides) making them suitable for both left- and right-hand use.
